Shirley Strub

A lifetime of sewing and a quilt class in the 70’s started it. After making the requisite traditional quilts everyone’s mother or granny made, I found myself drawn to contemporary and art quilts and “coloring outside the lines” (oh no!). My dollmaking also morphed into non-traditional. My goal as an artist is to get bolder with my ideas and jump into new projects that will stretch my skills and knowledge. What better excuse is there for playing with fibers and threads, paintsticks and stamps, buttons and beads! I just hope I can continue to support my ever-expanding stash.
