Much of my adult life I worked in software development. I loved the processes and discipline required to achieve the desired results. As I think back, my early traditional quilting reflected this same attention to detail and precision. My exposure to art quilting has opened a new realm for me allowing a more free-flowing approach.

I have always been strongly influenced by color and line, especially as found in nature.   Art quilting, as a medium for expressing my love of nature, seems a perfect vehicle.  Just as my earlier traditional quilts evoked feelings of comfort, my hope is that I can impart in my current fiber work the sense of inspiration and adventure that I experience when I am outdoors -- hiking, biking, camping, gardening or just soaking up the seasons.

The inscription on one of my favorite bracelets says ‘Leap and Your Net will Appear’. I am ready to leap!
